Alll GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each Practice. The average pay for GPs working in Armley Medical Practice in the last financial year was £86,222 beofre tax and national insurance. this is for 6 full time GPs and 2 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

2017 INFLUENZA VACCINATION

With the winter flu season approaching, we would like to take this opportunity to tell you about our seasonal flu vaccination at the surgery.

We are eager to provide a seasonal flu vaccintion programme for all our patients. As recommended by the Dept. of Health the people that will be able to have the vaccine are those whose health is most at risk.

Those identified as most at risk are:

  • People ages between six omonths and up to 65 years that have an ongoing health condition such as; asthma, chronic lung disease, heart disease, renal disease, diabetes and illnesses of the nervous system.
  • People whose immune systems are not working properly due to disease or cancer treatment, HIV positive people who have had treatment with steroids for a prolonged amount of time.
  • All pregnant women - from onset of pregnancy to 3 months post natal.
  • People over 65 years.
  • Carers
